APPA convened an exceptional gathering of school, community, and service leaders at Parliament House, Canberra, on Monday, 26 May 2025, to explore one of the most critical challenges of our time:

The Economic and Moral Imperative of Investing in Primary Schooling and Early Education.

Framed by the goals of Australian schooling as outlined in the *Mparntwe Declaration, this provocation calls for bold and forward-thinking leadership.

Primary schools are at the heart of shaping confident, creative, and successful lifelong learners. Yet, they are being asked to do more than ever before. If we are to truly realise the vision of the *Mparntwe Declaration, we need courageous and transformative thinking.

A statement was issued on 6 June, following the Summit.
