APPA President, Angela Falkenberg, attended the UNICEF office in Dushanbe yesterday, (located in the UN building) to meet Kouysinoy Maksoudovs, the Early Childhood Development Officer and Hurmat Dushanbiev, Education Officer, through an introduction by Frank Oberklaid.
Angela shared APPA’s Thrive with Five work and heard about their work in increasing access to quality early childhood education (currently around 16% have access). In a population of 10million – 2.5 million are under the age of 6 years! A great conversation and a great learning opportunity!
