APPA / ASIC Moneysmart Grants

From 2018, APPA proudly partnered with ASIC’s Moneysmart for Teachers program to build the financial capability of primary school students and teachers.

At the time, Moneysmart for Teachers was the only national financial literacy program for schools endorsed by state and territory education departments.

Together, APPA and Moneysmart distributed a series of Grants to help teachers boost their students’ financial literacy. These grants helped to develop projects to teach both students and parents the principles of good money management, often integrating financial literacy across the whole school and even reaching into the local community.

Projects included market days, gardens, product development, cafés and financial literacy classrooms.

Resources for teachers

Learning about money and how it works in the real world can transform the lives of your students.

Although Grants are no longer available, there are resources to help you as a teacher or school principal to integrate financial literacy into your classroom.
