APPA's meeting with Professor Peter Tannock and Professor Carmel Lawrence, members of the Australian Government's School Funding Model Review Panel, yesterday evening went very well. They are keen to read our research documents and are now intending to meet with Professor Max Angus to discuss our research more fully. We shared with them a one-page summary of our research (click here to download the paper) and a one-page summary of our 4 key messages (click here to download the summary). It was an excellent opportunity to make use of our new narrative (click here to read it again), as Professor Tannock started to talk about our old narrative as being the way that many people perceive primary schools (the old story about how primary schools are going well, and that the community feeling is positive, etc). At the end of the meeting the panel members said that they had enjoyed it very much and that APPA had done an amazing job in bringing together the three sectors.
